I was blessed to have a client remind me of something very important. FEAR. We all have it. Some people (especially photographers/creatives) use it for 2 purposes (related to business): A DRIVING force to be successful or a ROAD BLOCK for success. I did an exercise with a client that I was taught to do from my personal life coach. It's looking at the fear and really dissecting it. In the end the fear (related to business) really doesn't exist and once you dissect it the only thing that is real is this moment and what you are or are not doing.
If you are in a place of FEAR (afraid of not being successful, being found out, losing everything, not winning a job, losing your creative juices, etc...)...take time to really find out what is behind that fear. I was also taught by a very talented psychologist friend that fear is always the secondary effect of what is really going on.
If you are ready to move on and get started or get back on track of your career (marketing plan, creative shooting, etc...). Maybe you should consider working with a life coach to propel you in the right direction. Once you have overcome what is your ROAD BLOCK then it's time to get started.
